I'm glad to hear that McCain has advocated the construction of 45 new nuclear power plants to help address the high price of energy. With gas at $4 per gallon, I'm willing to bet that the public will be ready to embrace nuclear power in a way that they haven't before.Furthermore, I think that McCain is uniquely well-positioned to advocate an expansion of the country's nuclear facilities. As a long-time supporter of alternative energies, McCain can effectively rebut the Democrats' idea that nuclear and renewable energies cannot co-exist as alternatives to oil. Why can't we both increase our use of nuclear power and expand tax credits for renewable energy?
